Are you avoiding Facebook groups because social media marketing has created burn-out in your life?

I understand how it feels to hit social media burn out and want nothing to do with it! I was avoiding starting a FREE, private, Facebook group for a long time, but now that I have had one for a few month I really enjoy it. It had been on my to-do list as part of my podcast mastermind program and I finally caved. I just really did not want anything to do with social media anymore.

I was on this quest for for financial freedom and everything on my vision board and it didn’t work out so well. We are supposed to be able to make it happen right?! Don’t we hold the power within to achieve everything our heart desires?

I forgot one key important Truth. The power if God’s. It’s not mine. Yes, we are to work hard, to work with excellence and integrity so we can honor God in the work we do, but that doesn’t mean we get what we want. It also doesn’t mean that we have to the power to make it happen however we want it to happen and whenever we want.

Even as a Christian woman, a bible study enthusiast, and someone who considered herself to have a pretty tight relationship with Jesus, I feel into the trap. The deception is the same as we read in Genesis 3. Satan asks Eve, “Did God really say..,” and tells her that she can be like God (verses 3:1-5 NIV). Same old story, different century.

Did God really say I couldn’t have everything I wanted? Ask and it shall be given, right? He will give me everything my heart desires, right? Um, no. We can manifest whatever we want, right? If we work hard enough we can achieve whatever we want, isn’t that how it work? Not always, sometimes never, sometimes yes, but to what prevail? Is it in a place of rest, trust and abiding? Not usually. So how do we work with integrity and steward our gifts to serve the Lord well but not be too planned or controlling? Is that possible?

I know I am throwing out a lot of questions LOL! These are all the things I have asked myself and things I have asked God. Some things I have learned and figured out, some things He has shown me, and some things I still have no clue. I am hoping you will continue this journey WITH ME! Wouldn’t that be great?! It’s time to start a revival movement where we, us burnt-out Christian entrepreneurs, ditch #bossbabe culture and start pursuing Jesus over success! Are you with me?
